Diving Deep
As a member of the 1979 Tour B (for Bahamas) Continental Orchestra, my most treasured memory was snorkeling in the ocean for the first time. Lakes are great, but nothing compares to watching fish of every shape, size, and brilliant color swim among swaying kelp, within crystal clear water.
In my devotion this morning, I learned that it is important for us to attempt to “dive deep”, when studying God’s Word. By gazing at the surface, we can miss the beauty of what God has in store for us.
Praying for God to open our eyes to His Word is the first step. However, the way we study the bible can be very unique. But oh my, the depth and the awareness of God showing us amazing things (much like that ocean experience) can be totally astounding!
